I don’t believe health is about depriving yourself of food you love, its about nourishing your body with delicious, wholesome foods…not just eating leaves! Lets stop restrictive diets, counting calories, avoiding fats and going crazy!

Being ‘healthy’ isn’t just about one aspect of your life, such as how you eat or if you exercise. It’s about your whole lifestyle. It is holistic, so focusing on just the one aspect will not result in optimal health. It doesn’t matter if you eat the ‘perfect’ diet, if you don’t exercise. It doesn’t matter if you exercise, if you’re highly stressed. This is why I focus on the whole wellness lifestyle rather than just nutrition. It is also super important to find what wellness lifestyle you enjoy.
So many people do things because they think they should. For example….you want to be a wellness fanatic so need to do yoga….but you hate it! You keep going because you see people on Instagram and in magazines ‘finding themselves’ and losing massive amounts of weight with it. But…it’s not you, so you will never find that inner peace and wellness by forcing it. Health is a journey and an adventure, so enjoy it!
I’m sure you have heard many times, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I do agree with this to some extent, however I believe all our meals are important! It is essential to have a nourishing breakfast full of vitamins and minerals so you kick start your day feeling alive and focused! Opting for my breakfast recipes over the usual cereal and toast with make you feel awesome and ready to take on the world!
Healthy cooking doesn’t have to take forever, be expensive or complicated. Most of us are busy and could do with another few hours in the day but this doesn’t mean our health has to suffer. Most of my meals are quick and easy (apart from some exceptions which are great for weekends!), with most of the ingredients coming from supermarkets. Maximum nutrition and maximum taste is always the aim for these meals
Who said healthy eating is boring? Or that you can’t have chocolate or cake and be healthy?? Using healthy, nutritious and real ingredients you can make some incredible desserts and treats…..and you don’t even feel guilty afterwards! They’re so nutritious you can even have them as snacks (instead of those mid afternoon biscuits!). Juices are also an amazingly tasty way of getting fast absorbing nutrition into your body’s cells.
